"Hank" Hendrickson, 74, owner of Hanks Garage in North Charleston, died Saturday, June 16, 2001, in a local hospital. The funeral service will be Monday, 1 o'clock, in Dorchester Road Church of the Nazarene. Interment at Carolina Memorial Gardens will be private . Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DORCHESTER ROAD CHAPEL, this evening (Sunday) from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. A native of Linwood, Kans. , he was the son of Thomas and Grace Taylor Hendrickson. He retired with 24 years service in the U.S. Air Force and was a veteran of Korea and Viet Nam. He was active in the Gideon Society and participated in the Prison Ministries. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Shields Hendrickson in August 2000. He is survived by his sons, Charles R. Hendrickson, Jr., of North Charleston, and Mark R. Hendrickson, of North Charleston, his daughters, Lynn (Greg) Smith of Wildwood, Ga., and Millie (Frank) Cashwell of Timmonsville, S.C. He is also survived by two sisters, Joann (Richard) Stebbins of Kansas City, Mo., and Dorothy (Orville) Hawkins of El Dorado Springs, Mo., and six grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Memorials are requested to the Gideon Society, P.O Box 16364, Charleston, S.C. 29411, or the Dorchester Road Church of the Nazarene, 5391 Dorchester Road, North Charleston, S.C. 29418.
