Mrs. Goode was in Shalotte NC, the daughter of Dorsey Williams and Beatrice Williams Chadwick. She was a former restaurant owner. She was a graduate of Lenoir Rhyne College with a BA in music. She was a former music teacher, and glee club director at Waccamaw High School. She was a former choir member. She was a past member of Trudy's Prime Time Dance Club. Surviving are her mother; one son Earl Smith, III of Charleston, SC; three daughters, Angie High and son-in-law, Dan High of Charleston, SC, and Sara Stello and son-in-law, Eddie Stello of Charleston, SC; one sister, Gaye Stanley of Sholtte, NC; one brother, Elwood "Hollywood" Williams of Wilmington, NC; five grandchildren, Wesley High, Garrett High, Zack Stello, Logan Stello, and Chandler Stello; three nephew and three nieces. Mrs. Goode was preceded in death by her first husband, Early Smith, Jr. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 1601 Sam Rittenburg Blvd., Charleston, SC 29407.
