Frawley, residence, Charleston, S.C. The relatives and friends of Dr. and Mrs. Leo Stephen Frawley are invited to attend the funeral services of the former, Friday, at 10 o'clock in Nativity Catholic Church. Interment, private. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Dr. Frawley was born August 17, 1949, in Boston, Mass., the son of Leo Joseph Frawley and Matilda Comaschi Frawley. Dr. Frawley was Director of Laboratory of Molecular Dynamics and Professor of Cell Biology and Anatomy at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, S.C. Dr. Frawley received his bachelor's degree in biology at Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, N.C., masters in zoology and a doctorate in animal physiology at Clemson University. He received his post-doctoral training at the Department of Physiology and Biophysics, School of Medicine, University of Alabama in Birmingham, Birmingham, Ala. Dr. Frawley was mentor and advisor to numerous graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and visiting scientists throughout his career. He was a premier scientist in the area of prolactin research for which he received the International Sandoz Prize in 1988. Dr. Frawley was recognized worldwide and he was frequently invited to speak at national and international conferences. He was an avid supporter of youth soccer in Charleston. He is survived by his wife and mother of James Island, S.C.; three daughters, Anne Marie Frawley, Laura Ellen Frawley and Lisa Erin Frawley, all of James Island, S.C. Memorials may be made to Dr. Steve Frawley Scholarship Fund, c/o Stephens Inc., 111 Center St., Little Rock, Ark. 72201. This Scholarship will benefit a James Island student. Arrangements by J.
