Sunset Memorial Gardens, North Charleston, S.C.Mrs. Ellington is 
survived by her husband, Mr. Melvin E. Ellington, her children, Ms. 
Gwendolyn "Gwen" Turner, Mrs. Anna Byrd (Ronald), Mr. Melvin Ellington
(Patricia), Mr. Joseph Turner (Irene) and Mr. Norbert Schneider, 
grandchildren, Cedric, Mel, Nikki, Dominique, Champagne, Ricky and 
Dianne, brother and sister, Mrs. Lulu Cox and Mr. Alex Turner, nieces,
nephews, and other relatives and friends.Viewing for Mrs. Ellington 
will be at the William M. Smith Memorial Chapel, 2 Radcliffe St., 
Charleston, S.C., on Sunday, July 1, 2001, from 4 to 8 p.m. The family
