Holcombe Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Richard Conyers will officiate and burial will follow in Lockhart Cemetery. Mr. Canupp, 73, died Tuesday, June 5, 2001, at Mary Black Hospital after an extended illness. Born in Lockhart on Nov. 29, 1927, he was a son of the late William Thomas and Lula Miller Canupp. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he was a Presbyterian and was a retired millwright foreman. Survivors include his wife, Doris Lemons Canupp; two daughters, Pam Foster of Sharon and Jean Canupp of Lockhart; two sons, William Canupp of Richburg and Dean Canupp of Aiken; a sister, Lois Carr of Chester; a brother, James H. Canupp of Sharon; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The family is at the home of his daughter, Pam C. Foster, 3946 Miller Road, Sharon. S.R.
