Born April 16, 1930, in Florence, S.C., he was the son of Calvin Preston Dantzler, Sr., and Rosabelle Fleming Keveling. Mr. Dantzler served in the U.S. Navy and retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard where he was a planner and estimator. He is survived by his daughter, Virginia Wooten of Charleston, son Gary Dantzler, sister, Miriam D. Miller of Hanahan, three grandchildren, Clifford Wooten of Folly Beach, and Courtney and Blythe Wooten both of Charleston, and nephew David M. Miller of Hanahan. A private memorial service is planned. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Charleston, 3896 Leeds Ave., Charleston, S.C. 29405.
