TITLE: Archie Crosby Sr SOURCE: The Post and Courier, June 17, 2001 SUBMITTED: The Post and Courier FORMATTED: Kim Grissom, June 2001 *********************************************************************************************** Mr. Archie Crosby, Sr., 65, of 889 Halls Mill Road near Brunson, died Friday afternoon in a Columbia hospital after an extended illness. Mr. Crosby was born in Hampton County, June 6, 1936, a son of the late Hansford and Julia Stanley Crosby. He was the retired owner and operator of Archie's Place in Fairfax, and was a member of the Brunson Baptist Church. Surviving are, his wife, Eunice P. Crosby of Brunson; one son, Archie Crosby, Jr., of Brunson; one daughter, Jill Mikell of Brunson; two brothers, Willie James Crosby of Hampton and Henry E. Crosby of Allendale; one sister, Rosie Peeples of Allendale; and two grandchildren; Craig Fennell and Stephen Mikell. Funeral services will be 4 p.m., Sunday, in the chapel of PEEPLES-RHODEN FUNERAL HOME IN HAMPTON conducted by Rev. Mack Willis, with burial in the Rivers Cemetery. Friends may call at the Chapel in Hampton from 7 to 9 p.m., Saturday, and Sunday until the hour of services.
