Delores Dempsey Cleveland, 69, of Summerville, widow of Ross Dee 
Cleveland, died Friday at her residence.A Celebration of Life Service 
will be held Sunday, July 1, 2001, at 1 o'clock at Dorchester 
Presbyterian Church, Summerville. Entombment will be in Carolina 
Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, North Charleston.Friends may call JAMES A. 
DYAL FUNERAL HOME, SUMMERVILLE, from 6 until 8 this evening.In lieu of 
flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Charleston, 3896 Leeds 
Ave., Charleston, S.C. 29405, or a charity of one's choice.Born on 
February 5, 1932, in Charleston, S.C., a daughter of the late Heyward 
Cecil Dempsey and Thelma Hiott Dempsey. She was a graduate of 
Charleston High School in Charleston, S.C. She worked ten years for 
Greer Drugs. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Friendship 
Baptist church.Surviving are, one daughter, Wanda Cleveland Gause of 
Summerville; three sons and daughters-in-law, David R. and Tammy S. 
Cleveland of Summerville, Tim D. Cleveland of Charlotte, N.C., Keith 
and Robin B. Cleveland of Cottageville; four brothers, Jake W. Dempsey 
of Summerville, Raymond E. Dempsey of Summerville, Robert Dempsey of 
Branchville, Gene Dempsey of Hanahan; one sister, Nancy Dempsey 
Wiggins of Summerville; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren 
and Pheobe.She was predeceased by her brothers, Heyward "Red" Dempsey, 
Jr., and Jack Dempsey.Arrangements by JAMES A. DYAL FUNERAL HOME, 303
