She had made her home with her daughter in Cope, S.C., for the past five years. The funeral service will be Wednesday, June 20, 2001, at 12 noon at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., GREENRIDGE ROAD CHAPEL. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening (Tuesday) from 6 until 8 p.m. Mrs. Butler was born in Charleston, the daughter of the late William Russell Weatherford and Sadie Marie Johnson Weatherford. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church and the Charleston D.O.E.S., Downtown Chapter. She was the widow of Clarence Woodrow Butler, Sr., who died in 1986. She is survived by her sons, Clarence W. Butler, Jr., of Keystone Heights, Fla., Timothy W. Butler, Sr., of Steens, Miss., her daughters, Gloria Butler Owens of Summerville, Jacquelyn Butler Knight of James Island, Sharon Butler Brackett of Mt. Pleasant, and Michele Butler Miller, with whom she made her home in Cope. Her sister, Easter Lily McIntyre of Summerville, 17 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren also survive her.
