Broxton and Cary W. Malphrus Sr., died Tuesday, June 12, 2001, at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Sauls Funeral Home, Ridgeland. Services will be held at 5 p.m. Friday at Great Swamp Baptist Church, Ridgeland, with burial in Great Swamp Cemetery. Mrs. Broxton was born Feb. 1, 1904 in Hampton County, a daughter of John and Annie Ward Mock. She was a homemaker and retired from Holiday Wear Manufacturing Co. She was a member of Great Swamp Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, C.W. Malphrus Jr. of Ridgeland and Burton L. Malphrus of Hartsville; a daughter, Shirley M. Long of Ridgeland; three sisters, Annie M. Ryan of Ridgeland, Hallie M. Getty of Savannah and Gertie M.
