Lewis Brown Sr. Lewis Brown Sr., 69, of Big Estate community, Yemassee, husband of Estella Mae Brown, died Friday, June 15, 2001, in Medical University Hospital, Charleston. Wake services will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the sanctuary of Mount Sinai Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church with burial in Bonny Hall Cemetery. Mr. Brown was born April 10, 1932, in Beaufort, a son of Elouise Gillison. He was educated in Beaufort County public schools. He retired from J.A.J. Enterprises of Hilton Head Island, where he worked for many years. He was a member of Mount Sinai Baptist Church, Big Estate. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are four sons, Lewis Brown Jr. of Mays Landing, N.J., Anthony Brown of Hilton Head Island, Herman Brown of Hampton and Ethan Brown of Macon, Ga; six daughters, Bessie Mae Washington of Big Estate, Louise Brown of Brooklyn, N.Y., Shirley Major of Sheldon, Magaline Frazier of Bluffton, Kathleen Fulton of Big Estate and Cynthia Busby of Auburn, Ga.; three sisters, Lucille Downing and Ernestine Major of Seabrook and Florence Middleton of Brooklyn; a brother, William Brown of Florida; 30 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
