The funeral will be 4 p.m., Thursday in the Holly Hill United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Holly Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at AVINGER FUNERAL HOME from 6 until 8 p.m. this Wednesday. Mrs. Bowers was born in Harleyville a daughter of the late Wesley Mizell and Lula Risher Bowers. She was a 1934 graduate of the Medical University of S.C. School of Nursing, and she was a Registered Nurse for over 50 years, mostly in Holly Hill. She was a member of the Holly Hill United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, and she was the widow of Harold E. Bowers. She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Holly Hill UMC, P.O. Box 398, Holly Hill, S.C. 29059.
