He was born in West Monroe, La. He is the son of Paul Cole Beach and Marsha Monte Beach of Mount Pleasant, S.C. William was a sophomore, College of Engineering and Science, Clemson University, majoring in Computer Science and a graduate of Bishop England High School, where he was the recipient of many awards. He was involved in several athletics and extracurricular activities. His work experience varied as consultant, computer technician and electrician. William is survived by his parents; two brothers, Charles E. Beach and Stephen A. Beach, and one sister, Teresa A. Beach, all of Mount Pleasant, and his grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. Philip H. Monte of Narragansett, R.I. Visitation will be Thursday, June 21, 2001, MCALISTER SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1520 Rifle Range Road, Mount Pleasant, S.C., from 6 to 8 p.m. with vigil service at 6:30 p.m. Liturgy of Christian Burial will be Friday, June 22, 2001, at 11 a.m., at Christ Our King Catholic Church, Mount Pleasant, S.C. Interment will be in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the William Edmund Beach Scholarship Fund, First Federal of Charleston, c/o Marsha Beach, 822 Coleman Blvd., Mt. Pleasant, S.C. 29464.
