Balzano, 72, of Charleston and long time resident of Jacksonville, Fl., died Monday, June 11th at a local hospital. Born in Charleston to the late A. C. and Hermine Wierman Balzano. He was a former Scottish Rite Mason and a Shirner. He is survived by nine nephews, Ned Balzano, Deborah Smith, Melina Colbert Susan Sykes all of Charleston, Stephen Balzano of Pensacola, FL., Annette Balzano of Charleston, Donald Balzano of Charleston, Donna Balzano of Charleston, and Raymond Balzano of Houston, TX. Also survived by a sister-in-law, Mararet C. Balzano of Charleston. Family will receive friends Tuesday, June 12th from 6-8 p.m. at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Downtown Chapel.
