Chisholm Galloway Home for Funerals is in charge. Marion Manney Bailey Marion Manney Bailey, 90, of St. Helena Island died Monday, June 18, 2001, in Jacksonville, Fla. Funeral services will be at noon Saturday at Faith Memorial Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Mr. Bailey, a son of Sam Bailey and Julia Howard Bailey, graduated from Beaufort County Adult School. He was a landscaper at MCAS Beaufort for 24 years prior to retiring. He was a founding member of Faith Memorial Baptist Church where he served on the deacon board and was later the deacon chairman. He was also a member of the St. Helena Male Choir. Survivors include his wife, Ethel Simmons Bailey of New Orleans; seven daughters, Lequitha Riley and Elizabeth Goodson, both of New Orleans, Marianne Bailey of Astoria, N.Y., Gloria Kirsten of Melno Park, Cal., Clara Bailey of St. Helena Island and Alfreda Dassie and Catherine Bailey, both of Jacksonville; two sons, Charlie V. Bailey and Chester A. Bailey, both of Jacksonville; a sister, Maude Doye of Bronx, N.Y.; 29 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. Chisholm Galloway Home for Funerals is in charge.
