Allene Fabian Ackerman, 90, of Charleston, a retired registered nurse, 
died Wednesday in a Charleston hospital.  A graveside service will b 
held at 12 noon on Friday Carolina Memorial Gardens, directed by 
Carolina Memorial Funeral Home.  Born I Early Branch, she was the 
daughter of Frank B. Fabian and Hattie Susan Cook Fabian.  Mrs. 
Ackerman was an Army veteran of World War II and served as a clinical 
nurse on Paris Island.  She was a Methodist.  Mrs. Ackerman was the 
widow of C.K. Ackerman.  Survivors include her sister-in-law, Mary 
Ella Fabian of Charleston, a niece and her husband, Mary F. and J.C. 
Owens of Goose Creek; nephews and wives, Bob and Linda Veline of 
Summerville, Carl and Kathy Veline of Warner Robins, Ga.; Tommy and 
Bettie Fabian of Greenwood, SC, ten great nieces and nephews; her 
caregiver, Cherly M. Johnson of Ladson.  The family will receive 
friends from 10:30 a.m., Friday, until service time at Carolina 
Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC. (The
