Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice. Born on June 29, 1969, in El Paso, Texas, a son of Albert Ruben Cano, Sr., and Dora Cynthia Oesterle Cano. Ruben graduated from Roosevelt Roads High School in Puerto Rico and attended El Paso Community College. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a photographer with Bryn-Alan Studio. Ruben owned Shoot to Still Photography and Promotions where he was instrumental in promoting newly emerging alternative music bands. He was widely regarded for his promotional photography of groups including Kid Rock, Static-X, (HED) PE, Bar7, Sevendust, Telsa, Machine Head, Drain S.T.H., Slipknot, King's X and Bleak. He also worked with clubs such as the Music Farm, House of Blues, Ground Zero and Uncle Dogs in developing new venues for emerging new music. Surviving are, father and mother, Albert Ruben, Sr., and Dora C. Oesterle Cano of Summerville; sister, Leila Cano of Columbia, S.C.; maternal grandmother, Dolores Dominquez of San Antonio, Texas; six aunts of El Paso, Texas, San Antonio, Texas, Kansas City, Kans., and Chattanooga, Tenn.; four uncles of Austin, Texas, El Paso, Texas, and Handerson, Nev.; and many cousins.
