Emily P. Jones Zink
Emily P. Jones Zink, 63, of Beaufort, died Monday, June 4, 2001, at her residence. The family 
will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Anderson Funeral Home, Beaufort. 
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with burial in Beaufort National 
Cemetery. Mrs. Zink was born July 4, 1937, in Schley County, Ga., a daughter of Elisha H. and 
Ida C. Dunmon Jones. She was a taxi driver for Olin's Red & White. She was a member of Community 
Bible Church. Surviving are a son, Timothy E. Thorsen of Attica, N.Y.; a stepson, Raymond C. 
Zink of Florida; two daughters, Carolann Bigwood of Pittsfield, Mass., and Ruby Vanessa Tate 
of Beaufort; a brother, Wiley E. Jones of Oglethorpe, Ga.; two sisters, Ruby Mae Gerritsen of 
Montezuma, Ga., and Louise Brant of Beaufort; and five grandchildren. The family suggests that 
those who wish may make memorials to Friends of Caroline Hospice, 1110 13th St., Port Royal, 
SC 29935.
