James Owens officiating. Burial will follow in the Second Wilson Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Young, 63, died Friday, July 6, 2001 at her residence. Born in Chester County on December 4, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Curbeam and the late Alice Sterling Curbeam. She was a former employee of Phillips Industries and a member of Lincolnville Baptist Church. Survivors include five sisters, Louise Walls of Chester, Pearl Mae Massey of Chester, Henriatter Gilmore and Rosa Small of Washington, D.C. and Ruth Lee of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a brother, Herbert Curbeam of Ogla, Fla.; five step-sons, Coleman Young, Ulysses Young of Chester, Harold Young of Oklahoma, Willie Young and Nebraska Young of Winnsboro; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
