Recorder (THe Post and Courier July 8, 2001) WRIGHT, Christopher Deacon Christopher Wright, 92, of 1568 Montague Ave., North Charleston entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 5, 2001, at a Charleston, S.C., hospital. He was born in Berkley County to the late Napoleon Wright and Rebecca Sheppard Wright. He retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard with 47 years of service. The relatives and friends are invited to attend his home-going services, Tuesday, July 10, 2001, 1 p.m., at Royal Baptist Church, 1807 Pearson Ave., North Charleston, S.C. Rev. Isaac J. Holt, Jr., Pastor. He was affiliated with Suburban Lodge 213, George Washington Carver Consistory #162 and Arabian Temple 139. Three children and a special nephew preceded him in death. Survivors include, his beloved wife, Elease Middleton Wright of North Charleston, S.C., two daughters, Lala W. Hicks (Willie) of Orangeburg, S.C., Dorothy W. Black of North Charleston, S.C., three sons, Charles O. Wright (Victoria), Larry J. Wright (Matrina), Curtis Wright, (Gwendolyn), all of North Charleston, S.C., grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister, Julia Jenkins, daughter-in-law, Mattie K. Wright, of Columbus, Ga., sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grand nephews, a host of cousins and other family and friends. Deacon Christopher Wright will repose this evening at Royal Baptist Church from 6 to 8 p.m., where the family will receive friends. Deacon Christopher Wright will also repose in the church, Tuesday morning, from 12 noon until the hour of service. Interment, Sunset Memorial Garden.
