Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Ehrhardt Cemetery, directed by the Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home. Mr. Kinard was born in Bamberg County, a son of the late George William Kinard and Eddra Fender Kinard Kay. He was a retired service station owner and a was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, a member of Oak Grove Hunting Club, a member of the American Legion, and a member of the Woodmen of the World. He was the husband of the late Myrtle Clayton Kinard. Surviving are two step-sons, Willy Campbell of Ehrhardt and Tommy Campbell of Vance; a brother, Michael Kay of West Columbia; a sister, Alice K. Gibson of Ehrhardt, and a step-grandson, Joseph Campbell. He was predeceased by a brother, William Jack Kinard.
