John C. Wilson 
John C. "Butch" Wilson, 57, of Hilton Head Island, died Thursday, July 
26, 2001, in Specialty Hospital of South Carolina, Charleston. The 
family will receive friends from 5 to 7 tonight in The Island Funeral 
Home, Hilton Head Island. Private interment will be in Bonaventure 
Cemetery, Savannah. Mr. Wilson was born July 23, 1943, on Parris Island
, a son of Martin Cook and Louise O'Brian Wilson. He was a lifetime 
resident of Beaufort County. He was a planner analyst with Palmetto 
Electric Co-op. He was an avid fisherman. Surviving are his wife, 
Betty Tompkins Wilson; a daughter, Wendy Kennedy of Hilton Head Island;
and four grandchildren. The family suggests that those who wish may 
make memorials to Alzheimer's Respite and Resource, 50 Pope Ave., 
Hilton Head Island, SC 29928.
