Residence, Charleston, S.C. The relatives and friends of Joseph Ridley Wilkinson are invited to attend his funeral services in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, on Tuesday, July 24, 2001, at 10 o'clock. Interment, Carolina Memorial Gardens. Friends and family may call at STUHR'S DOWNTOWN CHAPEL this Monday between 5 and 7 o'clock. Mr. Wilkinson was born in Palatka, Fla., on September 24, 1917, the son of Robert Ridley and Lucille Kennerly Ridley. He was a retired Professor of Chemistry from the Citadel, a member of Grace Episcopal Church, and a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Wilkinson received a B.S. Degree in Chemistry from the Citadel, M.S. Degree in Chemistry from the University of Georgia, and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Florida State University. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #10, the International Oceanographic Association, Friends of the Library, Charleston Historical Society and various other educational societies. He is survived by two daughters, Mary Leila Wilkinson Acworth of Georgia and Sally Ann Wilkinson of Charlotte, N.C.; one sister, Nancy W. Brown of E. Palatka, Fla.; and one brother, Michael Wilkinson of Oakridge, Tenn. Memorials may be made to the Citadel Development Foundation, 171 Moultrie St., Charleston, S.C. 29409. ARRANGEMENTS BY J.
