Funeral services will be held Friday, June 1, 2001, at 3 p.m., at Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church, with burial in church cemetery, directed by FLOYD FUNERAL HOME OF OLANTA. Visitation will be held tonight (Thursday) at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Born in Clarendon County he was a son of the late Jake Welch and Hester Atkinson Welch. Mr. Welch was a construction worker and was a member of Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church. Mr. Welch was preceded in death by five brothers, Lonnie Welch, Coker Welch, J.W. Welch, Glenn Welch, and Charlie Welch. Surviving are his wife, Harriet Lynn Scott Welch of Turbeville. Two daughters, Sarah Lynn Welch Sharenberger and Marri Anne Welch, both of Nashville, Tenn. One son, Marshall Jamie Welch of Turbeville. Three brothers, Bill Welch and Jack Welch, both of Turbeville, Tom Welch of Timmonsville.
