She was a native of Charleston, SC. She moved to Charlotte, NC in 1962 with her late husband, Manuel Natelson, and family and was the owner of the Hawthorne Uniform Shop for many years. Survived by her husband Irving (Sasha) Wachtell of Charlotte, NC; a sister, Ms. Bernice Clein of Montgomery, Ala., four daughters, Debbie (Barry) Gillman of Miami, Fla.; Ms. Judy Buchan of Hollywood, Fla., Carol (Ray) Bertoia of Palm Springs, Calif., Ms. Nancy Hairr of Tampa, Fla., two grandchildren, Robert Bauchan of Hollywood, Fla., and Jennifer-Gillman Housman (Meir) of Israel; two great grandchildren, Maya and Adi Housman of Israel. She is also survived by two step-children, Lisa (Bruce) Blazer of Minneapolis, Minn., Robert Wachtell of Los Angeles, Calif., three great step-grandchildren, her sister-in-law, Freida Bluestein of Charleston, SC., and many nieces and nephews from the Mendelsohn, Fischbein and Bluestien families. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Irving Wachtell are invited to attend the funeral services of the latter at the graveside, Tuesday, in Synagogue Emanu-El Cemetery (Maryville) at 4 o'clock.
