GERMAIN, Violet GEORGETOWN - Violet Virginia St. Germain, 98, died Wednesday, July 11, 2001, in a local hospital in Georgetown. Miss Germain was born in Gays Mills, Wis. on September 17, 1902, a daughter of the late Gabriel "George" Louie St. Germain and Martha Josephine Barrette St. Germain. She lived all her life in Georgetown and was a graduate of Winyah High School, Class of 1917. Miss Germain attended Sacred Heart College in Belmont, N.C. Miss Germain was a retired employee of Kaminski Hardware Company. She was a member of St. Mary Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church and the Alter Society at the church. Mrs. Germain was a charter member, past president, and former "Woman of the Year" of the Georgetown Business and Professional Women's Club. Surviving are several cousins. The Funeral Mass will be Friday morning at 9:45 o'clock in St. Mary Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Patrick J. Stenson and the Rev. Henry J. Burke. Inurnment will be in All Saints Church, Waccamaw, Churchyard at a later date. Arrangements by GEORGETOWN CHAPEL OF MAYER FUNERAL HOME.
