Born April 5, 1935 in Peoria, Illinois, he was the son of Cecil Norman andJunaita Mae Pankey Steveson. Mr. Steveson retired from the US Navy as Master Chief Master of Arms after 33 years of service having served in both the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He worked security at the Naval Weapons Station and later owned and operated a trucking company. Mr. Steveson was a member of the VFW Post 5091 and a member of the Fleet Reserve Association Branch 269. He is survived by his wifeMabel Steveson, twin sons: Cecil K. Steveson of North Charleston, and Kenneth C. Steveson of Riverview, FL; two daughtersWanita C. Law and Cathy M. Brown, both of North Charleston; brother, Larry Steveson of Pocahontas, Arkansas; ten grandchildren: Tore Pinna of North Charleston, Robert Steveson and Nicole Steveson, both of Texas, Paul Brown and Taylor Brown, both of North Charleston,Adrian Moore of Cottageville, Tony Wall and BraedenSteveson, both of North Charleston, Michael Araujo and Jennifer Young, both of Riverview, FL.; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services with military honors will be held Wednesday, June 6, 2001 in the chapel of McALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 100 S. Goose Creek Blvd. (Hwy 52), Goose Creek and cremation will follow. After the funeral a reception will be held at Glad Tidings Assembly of God, 5667 Dorchester Road, N. Charleston. The family will receive friends Tuesday June 5, 2001 from 6-8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 1941 Savage Road, N.
