Ray Spivey, husband of Catherine Wright Spivey, residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. H. Ray Spivey are invited to attend the funeral services of the former, Wednesday, July 11, 2001 at Ten O'clock in Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC. DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, Tuesday evening between six and seven thirty o'clock. Mr. Spivey was born May 15, 1926, in Sanford, North Carolina, the son of Martin Everton Spivey and Fannie Tillman Spivey. He was a retired administrative manager with Mobil Chemical Company. He served with the US Navy during WWII. He was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church and the American Legion. He is survived by his wife of James Island ; two sons: Michael W. Spivey of James Island, SC., and Tony G. Spivey of Charleston, SC., four grandchildren, Jennifer L. Spivey, Krista H. Willis, Jason R. Spivey and Abbey L. Spivey and one great-grandson, Brice E. Willis. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Suite. No. 504, North Charleston, SC 29406.
