SINCLAIR, Pauline
Mrs. Pauline Thames Sinclair, 95, of 458 Rock Spring Road in Varnville,
died Sunday afternoon at her residence after an extended illness. Born 
June 1, 1906, in Hampton County, she was the daughter of the late 
Rufus W. Thames and Minnie Lee Pope Thames. Mrs. Sinclair had retired 
from the Westinghouse Corporation in Hampton and was a member of the 
Mill Creek Primitive Baptist Church. She was the widow of Burrell H. 
Sinclair. She is survived by one son, Richard L. Sinclair of Hampton; 
four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and three 
great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one son, James 
Rudolph Sinclair. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon, at 
4 p.m., in the Chapel of PEEPLES-RHODEN FUNERAL HOME IN HAMPTON, with 
burial following in the Thames Cemetery. Friends may call at the 
Chapel in Hampton on Monday evening between the hours of 6 and 9 p.m., 
and until the hour of services on Tuesday. The family will be at the 
home of Richard Sinclair, 721 Holly St. East, Hampton, S.C. Memorials 
may be made to Palmetto Health Alliance (Hospice), Box 1123, Bamberg,

Pauline Thames Sinclair
Pauline Thames Sinclair, 95, of Varnville, died Sunday, July 22, 2001, 
at her residence. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 tonight 
at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, Hampton, until services at 4 p.m. 
Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Thames Cemetery. Mrs. 
Sinclair was born June 1, 1906, in Hampton County, a daughter of Rufus 
W. Thames and Minnie Lee Pope Thames. She was retired from Westinghouse
Corp. She was a member of Mill Creek Primitive Baptist Church. She was 
the widow of Burrell H. Sinclair. She was preceeded in death by a son,
James Rudolph Sinclair. Surviving are a son, Richard L. Sinclair of 
Hampton; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and three 
great-great-grandchildren. The family suggests that those who wish may 
make memorial contributions to Palmetto Health Alliance (Hospice), Box
