Visitation will be Monday, 6 to 8 p.m., at DUNBAR FUNERAL HOME, Devine Street Chapel. Mrs. Shaw died Saturday, July 14, 2001. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late James Henry and Alvata Lucille Carter Stroud. A graduate of Greenville High School and Columbia College, she was a member of Buncombe Street United Methodist Church in Greenville. Mrs. Shaw was a member and past ball chairman of the Columbia Symphony League. Surviving are her husband, R. Bruce Shaw; children, Alice Heard of Macon, Ga., Robert B. Shaw, Jr., of Columbia, and Ashley Anderson of LaGrange, Ga.; grandchildren, Amy Kathryn Heard of Macon, Ga., Emily Anderson, Ben Anderson, and Matthew Anderson, all of LaGrange, Ga.; and brother, Jim Stroud of Greenville. Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or to the South Carolina Philharmonic. The family will be at 2531 Canterbury Road.
