Mrs. Searson was born in Charleston, Saturday, July 21, 1917, the daughter of Charles Dalton and Mary Rosalie Connor Budds. She graduated from the Academy of Our Lady of Mercy and Bishop England High Schools Class of 1934. Mrs. Searson was a secretary with the James Doran Stevedoring Company for ten years. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 21, 2001, at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. The Rite of Committal will be in Magnolia Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call at the JAMES A. MCALISTER FUNERAL HOME, 1620 SAVANNAH HWY., Friday evening, July 20, 2001, from 5 to 8 p.m. The Vigil Service will be Friday evening at the funeral home at 7 p.m. Surviving are her husband of Charleston; a son, Michael A Searson of Burke, Va.; two daughters, Gene Marie Searson Rawlings of Virginia Beach, Va., and Suzanne Searson Sams of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; two sisters, Margaret Budds Bolchoz of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., and Mary T. Budds of Charleston, S.C.; two brothers, John J. Budds and William B. Budds, both of Charleston, S.C.; seven grandchildren, Heather Sams, Jennifer Rawlings, Ashley Pfeil, Michael Rawlings, Shannon Sams, Kimberly Searson, and Laura Searson; two great-grandchildren, Matthew Dickerson and Mara Pfeil and numerous nieces and nephews.
