 Violet Case Salter, 44, of North Charleston, a bookkeeper for 
Jennings Exxon, died Thursday, at her home. A graveside service will 
be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, in Plantation Memorial Gardens, directed 
by Carolina Memorial Funeral Home.Born in Edgefield, she was the 
daughter of Adger Monroe Case and Louise Bryant Case Pye. Mrs. Salter 
was a Baptist.Survivors include her husband, James H. Salter, Sr.; 
daughters, Tracy Ussery of Summerville and Donna Salter of Augusta, 
Ga.; a son, Timothy Salter of North Charleston; her mother of Lyons, 
Ga.; sisters, Jenny Clark of Columbia and Kathy Summersill of Dudland, 
Ga.; brothers, Chelsey Pye of Atlanta, Ga., and Kenny Chase of Mt. 
Pleasant.The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 12 noon, 
Tuesday, July 10, 2001, at the funeral home.Memorial contributions may 
be made to the American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, 
North Charleston, S.C. 29406.Arrangements by CAROLINA MEMORIAL FUNERAL
