Rushing, 83, of 169 Daley Road in Scotia, died Tuesday evening in an Estill hospital after an extended illness. Mrs. Rushing was born in Bennettsville, S.C., September 11, 1917, a daughter of the late Murray and Bessie Williamson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Robertville Baptist Church. She was the widow of the late W.E. "Red" Rushing. Surviving are, one son, Gene Rushing of Estill; four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 4 p.m., Friday, in the Robertville Baptist Church, with burial in the Union Cemetery in Scotia directed by the Estill Chapel of PEEPLES-RHODEN FUNERAL HOME. Friends may call at the chapel in Estill from 6 to 9 p.m., Thursday, and Friday until 3 p.m., when the casket will be placed in the church prior to services.
