Ron Petit of the Manning United Methodist Church and Rev. Tim Rogers of Trinity United Methodist Church in Darlington.Mr. Rogers was born in Chesterfield County. He was the son of the late Joseph O. Rogers, Sr., and Lila McDonald Rogers.Mr. Rogers, formerly of Charleston, was a retired finance company executive. He was also at one time the owner and operator of W.R. Marine Construction Company at Santee. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and attended Appalachian State College and the Citadel. Mr. Rogers was a member of Manning United Methodist Church where he was active and past President of the Men's Bible Class. Survivors include his children, Billy Sherrard, Karen (Greg) Croft, Kathi (Gary) Hall, Robin Rogers, Michael Dale Rogers, and Mark Anthony Rogers.Memorials may be made to the Men's Bible Class of Manning United Methodist Church, P.O.
