Wake will be from 7 to 8 tonight in Marshel's Wright-Donaldson Home For Funerals, Beaufort. The body will repose at the church from 10 a.m. Thursday until the services. There will be no viewing after the eulogy. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in New Hope Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Burton. Burial with full military honors will follow in Beaufort National Cemetery. Mr. Richardson was born Sept. 5, 1943, in Lynchburg, Va., a son of Viola Smith Richardson and Page M. Richardson. He received his education in the public schools of Lynchburg. He was a member of Holcomb Rock Baptist Church of Lynchburg. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in July 1962 and retired in January 1988. During his military tenure, he received numerous awards and medals to include: the Navy Achievement Medal, the National Defense Medal, the Vietnam Combat Medal and the Purple Heart. After his retirement, he worked as a correctional officer with the Division of Juvenile Justice, Westinghouse Nuclear Plant and Bose Audio, Inc., all in Columbia. Surviving are his mother of Lynchburg and his wife of 35 years, Eartha L. Richardson of Columbia; two sons, Marlowe D. Richardson of Burton and Jason A.
