She was born April 15, 1929 in Binghamton, NY to the late Thomas Henry and Gladys Hayes Fogarty. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, July 19, 2001 at St. John's Episcopal Church, 1623 Carmel Road, Charlotte, NC with Rev. Martin McCarthy officiating. The Family will receive friends at the Church following the service. Burial will take place in Vestal, NY. Mrs. Reed has been employed as an Assistant Area Director for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. She is survived by her husband, Donald N. Reed of Matthews, NC, her daughter, Brenda D. Spears, of Goose Creek, SC, her son, Thomas C. Reed and his wife, Julie A. Reed of Glen, NY, 2 grandsons, Jordan C. Rogers and Thomas H. Reed and mother-in-law, Anna M. Reed of Binghamton, NY. During her life, Jeanie was an active member of the church and community. The Family and her friends are going to miss this fine and outstanding woman.
