A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Peter's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Beaufort National Cemetery. Mr. Quigley was born February 21, 1925, in Auburn, N.Y., a son of Paul and Kathryn Bellnier Quigley. He graduated from St. Lawrence University, Canton, N.Y., in 1949 and received his masters degree from New York University in 1953. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II where he received the Meritorious Unit Citation He was a retired vice-president of sales for Van Straatan Chemical Co, Chicago, Ill., and a former resident of Wheaton, Ill., where he was a member of the Wheaton Drama Club. He is a past president of the Fripp Island Men's Golf Association, a former member of the Fripp Island Property Owner's Association, Fripp Island volunteer fireman, and was a volunteer for Friends of Caroline Hospice and the Franciscan Center, St. Helena Island. Surviving are his wife, Frances Bebbington Quigley of Fripp Island; three daughters, Kathryn Montague of St. Charles, Ill., Suzanne Bielstein of Darien, Conn., and Barbara Policastro of Cincinnati, Ohio; three sons, Charles Quigley of Richmond Surrey, England, Thomas Quigley of Charlotte, and James Quigley of Bowling Green, Ky.; his step-father, Charles F. Mills of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; a half brother, Charles F. Mills Jr., of Jacksonville, Fla.; and 11 grandchildren. The family suggests that those who wish may make memorials to the Franciscan Center, St. Helena Island, SC 29920, or the Alzheimer's Association, 360 North Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL 60601.
