Player, died Saturday, July 14, 2001, at her residence after an illness. Mrs. Player was born in Sardis, S.C., a daughter of the late Elijah and Sadie Ridgell Hickson. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church, the Loving Hands Sunday School Class and the Seniors Oasis. Survivors include, one daughter, Burdette L. Caraway of Scranton; one son, Willie J. Lynch of Goose Creek; two sisters, Linda H. Woods of Hartsville and Merlee H. Sims of Sardis; three grandchildren, Lori L. Schultz of Goose Creek, Elaine Lynch of Summerville and Brian Caraway of Scranton; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, in the BROCKINGTON FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL in Lake City with burial in the High Will Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will have visitation from 7 to 9 p.m., Monday evening in the funeral home. BROCKINGTON FUNERAL HOME, LAKE CITY, is in charge.
