Marshel's Wright-Donaldson Home for Funerals is in charge. William Parker Sr. SAVANNAH. - William Parker Sr., 90, of Savannah died Saturday, July 7, 2001, in Candler Hospital, Savannah. Wake services will be from 7 to 8 tonight in Marshel's Wright-Donaldson Home for Funerals, Beaufort. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in First Mount Bethel Baptist Church, 124 West Anderson St., Savannah. Burial will follow in Habersham Cemetery, Burton. Mr. Parker was born in Burton, but had lived in Savannah for 70 years. He was educated in the public schools of Beaufort County. He was a retired after working as a longshoreman for 36 years and was a member of Local 1414 ILA Union. He worked for many years for Mike Hudson Motors. Hew as a member of First Mount Bethel Baptist Church of Savannah where he was former president of the Senior Usher Board. Surviving are a daughter, Francina Parker Stringer of Savannah; two sons, William Parker Jr. of Savannah and Sgt. Frederick Parker of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sisters, Rosa Lee Middleton and Wilhemenia Burns of Burton; a brother, Thomas Parker of Beaufort; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
