Viewing will be from 1 to 7 p.m. today at Allen Funeral Home, Coosawhatchie. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Second Thankful Baptist Church, Ridgeland with burial in the Cypress Cemetery, Riverhill community, Ridgeland. Ms. Orum was born June 6, 1933, in Jasper County and was educated in Jasper County schools. She was a housemother in a group home for homeless and troubled children for many years. She joined Second Thankful Baptist Church at an early age before joining Gethesmane Baptist Church after she moved to Brooklyn, N.Y. and later moved her membership to Mt. Calvary Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Boisy Orum; a daughter, Beverly Orum; a sister, Dorothy Cuyler; and two brothers, T.J. Youmans and Arthur Lee Youmans. Survivors include, three daughters, Renea' Mack of Savannah, Debbie O. Wright of Charleston and Barbara O. Hawks of Ridgeland; a son, Reginald Orum of Gillisonville; Christine Abron, Marjorie Youmans, Lula Youmans and Juanita Grayson, all of Ridgeland; two brothers, Harold Youmans and Buster Youmans, both of Ridgeland; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. *********************************************************************** NOTICE: Printing the files within by non-commercial individuals and libraries is encouraged, as long as all notices and submitter information is included.
