Myers, died Tuesday, July 3, 2001, at her residence. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Anderson Funeral Home, Beaufort. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Shell Point Baptist Church with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. Myers was born Aug. 19, 1931, in Hampton County, a daughter of Luda Dempsey and Clara Mixon Dempsey. She was a member of Shell Point Baptist Church and Ruth's Sunday School Class. Surviving are a son, Wronnie "Lonny" Laundquiest Myers of Burton; two daughters, Sandra Idella Morris and Tami Rene Mickel of Burton; a brother, Berry Dempsey of Burton; two sisters, Rose Blanchard of Ridgeland and Trena Cooler of St. Helena Island; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Elliott Myers.
