(formerly of Red Top, S.C.) husband of the late Mrs. Ida Mae Murphy; 
beloved father of Mr. John Murphy, Jr. (Carolyn), Mrs. Beatrice 
Goodwine (Naamen), Mr. Gerald Murphy, Mr. Jessie Murphy (Tammy), Mrs. 
Sara Spann (Clifford), and Mrs. Joann Simmons; brother of Mr. Willie 
Murphy; nephew of Mrs. Ceilia Gadsden (Ruben) and Mr. Christopher 
Watkins; brother-in-law of Mrs. Mary Murphy. Friends may visit at 121 
Amber Lane (Clubhouse Section). Funeral arrangements will be announced 
by DOROTHY'S HOME FOR FUNERALS. (July 1, 2001)

The relatives and friends of Mr. John Murphy, Sr., those of his wife, 
the late Mrs. Ida Mae Murphy; sons and daughters, Mr. John Murphy, Jr.
(Carolyn), Mrs. Beatrice Goodwine (Naamen), Mr. Gerald Murphy, Mr. 
Jessie Murphy (Tammy), Mrs. Sara Spann (Clifford), and Mrs. Joann 
Simmons; grandchildren; great grandchildren; brother, Mr. Willie 
Murphy; aunt and uncle, Mrs. Celia Gadsden (Ruben) and Mr. Christopher
Watkins; sister-in-law, Mrs. Mary Murphy, nieces, nephews, and cousins
are invited to attend his funeral service, 1 p.m., Thursday, July 5, 
2001, in St. John Baptist Church, 728 Hughes Road, Johns Island. Rev. 
Charles L. Linen, pastor. Interment, Red Top Community Cemetery. 
Friends may visit at the Hollywood Chapel, Wednesday, 3 to 8 p.m.
