Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announce by PEEPLES-RHODEN FUNERAL HOME IN HAMPTON. (The Post and Courier July 19, 2001) MOORE, Karen Mrs. Karen Schaffer Moore, wife of Michael Moore, died Wednesday in a Walterboro hospital. She was 30. Karen was born in England, August 25, 1970, a daughter of Dennis and Priscilla Sharpe Schaffer. She was a 1988 graduate of Wade Hampton High School, and together with her husband, owned and managed K & M Convenience Store in Yemassee. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Yemassee, and was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Surviving, besides her husband of Yemassee , and her parents of Varnville, are, one son, Joshua Moore, of the home; one daughter, Julia More, of the home; one sister, Becky S. Connelly, of Aiken; maternal grandmother, Evelyn Sharpe, of England; paternal grandmother, Autrey Schaffer, of Ruffin. Karen was pre-deceased by a daughter last year, Jessica Nicole Moore. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Yemassee, with burial following in the Ebenezer Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation, however, friends may call at the home of her parents in Varnville, 701 Pine Street East, any time prior to the hour of services. Services will be at 1 p.m. today in First Baptist Church, Yemassee, with burial in Ebenezer Cemetery.
