(The Post and Courier July 19, 2001) MOORE, George George Clifton Moore, 71, of Dorchester, died June 29, 2001, in Dorchester County. Funeral services, with full military honors, will be held at Beaufort National Cemetery, Monday afternoon, July 23, 2001, at 12 noon. Friends may call at Parks Funeral Home, Summerville, S.C., this Sunday evening from 6 to 8 o'clock. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504 N. Charleston, S.C. 29406. Mr. Moore's childhood home was Carroll County, Va., a place he loved dearly. He was an amateur "ham" radio enthusiast, whose call letters were KB4FC. Mr. Moore was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was retired from Cummins Engine Company. Greeting George on the other side are his baby brother, Kenneth; father, Porter Lee Moore; mother, Cora Hawks Moore; and sister, Elinor Edwards. Survivors include his son, Terry Moore and his wife, Beverly; his daughter, Sheila Haddad and her husband, Roger; three grandchildren; sisters, Avonia Heizman, Betty Thrush, Mildred McBride, Marylin Turner and Joan Bobbitt.
