The relatives and friends of Dr. and Mrs. William Clyde Miller, Jr., are invited to attend the funeral services of the former in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, Thursday, July 12, 2001, at 11 o'clock. Interment, Bethany Cemetery. Friends may call at Stuhr's Downtown Chapel, Wednesday evening between 6 and 8 o'clock. Dr. Miller, Jr., was born December 25, 1925, in Salisbury, N.C., the son of William Clyde Miller and Rebecca Connelly Miller. He was a graduate of the Citadel and the Medical University of South Carolina. He retired from the MUSC as a Professor of Psychiatry. His memberships included American Psychiatric Association (Fellow), Southern Psychiatric Association (Fellow), the Widows and Orphans Society and the Coastal Carolina Orchid Society. He was a lecturer-consultant in Neuropsychiatry at the Charleston Naval Hospital from 1967 to 1970, an Attending in Psychiatry at the Charleston Veteran Administration Hospital from 1967-1994. He served with the U.S. Marine Corp during W.W.II and was a retired Lt. Col. with the U.S. Army Reserve. He is survived by his wife of Charleston, S.C.; two sons, David Diedrich Miller of Easley, S.C., and Major Robert Connelly Miller, USAF, of Montgomery, Ala.; one daughter, Amy Lynn Schaefer of Cary, N.C., and eight grandchildren.
