Services were Monday in Fifth Street Baptist Church, Richmond, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Richmond. Mr. Miles was born Aug. 11, 1948, in Richmond, a son of Earline Grooms Miles and Charles Henry Miles Sr. He was a graduate of Maggie Walker High School and a graduate of Central Texas College where he received his associates degree in business. After serving in the U.S. Army, he retired as a sergeant first class. Survivors, in addition to his mother of Richmond, are his wife, Lorraine Bleach Miles of Beaufort; three children, Shawntell Lenay Miles of Charlotte, and Alexis LaShay Miles and Charles Henry Miles III, both of Beaufort; two sisters, Eunice Toombs of Richmond and Marilyn Chalmers of Madison, Conn.; and three brothers, Cary, Andrew and Michael Wayne Miles all of Richmond.
