Menefee Sr. MANKATO, Minn. - Donald D. Menefee Sr., 63, formerly of Beaufort, died Thursday, July 12, 2001, in Mankato Lutheran Home, Mankato. Graveside services with military honors will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Mr. Menenfee was born June 5, 1938, in Fairbury Neb., a son of Joseph D. and Clara M. Hughes Menefee and was married to Maxine A. Menefee. He was preceded in death by a son, Mack Menefee. He joined the U.S. Marines in 1956 and served one tour of duty in Vietnam. He was discharged in 1971 and served the U.S. Air Force from 1972 to 1974. He was manager of Burger King in Beaufort for 18 years and was one of the first graduates of the Citizens Police Academy in Beaufort. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Donna St. John of Mankato; a son Donald D. Menefee Jr. of Freeport, Ill.; two brothers, Billy Sullivan and Mike Rainey, both of Pascagoula, Miss.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
