Services will be held at 8 p.m. Monday in Grandfather Chapel of Reins- Sturdivant Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Elk Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 p.m. until the service hour at the funeral home. Mrs. McClain was a native of Wytheville, Va., a daughter of Grover Cleveland and Ada Mae Fleming Carter. She was a member of Elk Park Methodist Church, a graduate of Atlanta Law School and worked for several years of Clerk for Family Court in Beaufort before moving to Avery County, N.C. in 1979. Survivors include her husband, Clyde Walter McClain of Elk Park, N.C.; a daughter, Kathey Parent of Greenville; three sisters, Mildred Brand of Woodstock, Ga., Catherine Louthan of Winchester, Va. and Neillie Rowland of Marion, Va. ; and a brother, Carl Carter of Roanoke, Va.
