The relatives and friends of Berta Matthews are invited to attend her funeral services in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., GREENRIDGE ROAD CHAPEL, Wednesday morning July 25, 2001 at eleven o'clock. Interment: Carolina Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at STUHR'S GREENRIDGE ROAD CHAPEL, this (Tuesday) evening from six until eight o'clock. Mrs. Matthews was born in Florence, SC., May 7, 1930, the daughter of S. Richard Ham and Nellie Boswell Ham. She was a homemaker and a member of Cooper River Baptist Church, where she was active in the Church choir and the Adult 2 Sunday School Class. Surviving are two daughters, Linda M. Minor of Hanahan, SC., and Brenda M. Vehorn of Sapphire, NC., two brothers, Clinton Ham and John Ham, both of Florence , SC., three sisters, Linnie Myers and Janet Evans of Florence, SC., and Mary Smith of Charleston, SC., five granddaughters and one great-granddaughter. Memorials may be made to Cooper River Baptist Church, 1059 Crawford Street, North Charleston, SC 29406.
