Pleasant, died Monday, July 2, at a local nursing home. She was born in Charleston to John P. and Sophie Weatherhorn Michel. She was a graduate of St. Angela's Academy in Aiken. She was a member of Christ Our King Catholic Church. She had worked previously as a secretary with the Frances Coleman Reality of Mt. Pleasant, Kinghorn Insurance Co., Port Royal Elementary School and St. Peter's Catholic Church all in Beaufort. She was the widow of Joseph St. John Marcil and was also predeceased by a grandson, Robert A. Adams. She is survived by a son, Jack Marcil of Beaufort, three daughters, Mary Ellen Raffo of Spartanburg, S.C., Jeanne Marie Chambless of Atlanta, Gal., and Agnes Ann Brunson of Moncks Corner, a brother, Daniel Michel of Mt. Pleasant, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Visitation will be this morning at MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Pleasant Chapel, 1520 Rifle Range Road, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be today at 12 p.m. at Christ Our King Catholic Church, with burial in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Meals on Wheels, 440 Whilden St., Mt. Pleasant, S.C. 29464. McAlister-Smith Funeral Home is serving the Marcil family.
